Recently in Nantong, Jiangsu, the DP
dynamic positioning piling vessel “Tie Jian Da Qiao Zhuang 1” was successfully
delivered, marking another milestone for Weichai in high-end marine power
solutions.
Measuring 130.5 meters in length, the
vessel is designed for operations in water depths of up to 70 meters, with a
maximum piling diameter of 7 meters and pile length exceeding 120 meters. It
sets three global records: tallest piling frame (156 meters), deepest operating
water depth, and largest pile-lifting capacity. Equipped with an advanced dual
positioning system combining DP dynamic positioning and anchoring, along with
dual-frequency RTK GPS and BeiDou navigation, it achieves industry-leading
piling accuracy.
The vessel is powered by three 2000 kW
Weichai WH28 generator sets, delivering strong, reliable performance for both
propulsion and onboard power supply. Designed for harsh offshore conditions, it
ensures high efficiency and excellent wave resistance. Environmentally, it
adopts a low-sulfur fuel system and SCR after-treatment technology, meeting IMO
Tier III emission standards, enabling compliant operations in global emission
control areas.
The vessel will support the construction of
the Salvador Cross-Sea Bridge in Brazil, the largest offshore bridge project in
Latin America.
