On December 25, Liugong Changzhou Machinery
Co., Ltd. celebrated a major milestone as its 120,000th excavator rolled off
the production line, decorated with a red ribbon. The newly completed machines
will be delivered simultaneously to domestic and international markets, marking
a significant achievement as Liugong concludes China’s “14th Five-Year Plan”
period and prepares for the “15th Five-Year Plan.”
In 2025, Liugong’s excavator business
demonstrated strong resilience and growth momentum. Output at the Changzhou
base increased by approximately 20% year on year, while Liugong maintained a
top-three position in China’s crawler excavator market. Wheel excavator sales
surged by more than 100%, highlighting rapid expansion in diversified product
segments.
December also witnessed the shipment of the
first batch of excavators for major overseas key-account projects from the
Changzhou facility, underscoring Liugong’s comprehensive capabilities in
large-scale international projects. Year to date, overseas excavator sales from
the Changzhou base rose by 25%, with rental solutions and multi-functional
attachments for European and North American markets emerging as new growth
drivers.
These achievements are underpinned by
continuous technological innovation. Liugong has advanced intelligent
manufacturing through production line upgrades, specialized robotics, and
automated inspection systems, while MES and WMS platforms support digitalized,
data-driven operations. On the product side, Liugong focuses on “smart” and
“green” development, enhancing controller computing power and sensor systems.
Compact excavators equipped with ICT technology now offer 2D/3D guidance,
automatic weighing, and improved user interaction. As one of the industry’s
earliest pioneers in commercial electric excavators, Liugong continues to
invest in electrification, achieving fuel savings through intelligent power
matching and earning strong market recognition.
Looking ahead to 2026, Liugong aims to
accelerate globalization by leveraging its 12 global R&D centers to develop
products tailored to regional operating conditions, moving from “going global”
to truly “integrating locally,” and driving sustainable, high-quality growth
worldwide.
