From the rollout of China’s first wheel
loader, the Z435, in 1966 to today’s intelligent and electric machines, LIUGONG
has spent nearly 60 years reshaping the trajectory of the global loader
industry through continuous innovation.
A pivotal breakthrough came in 1970 with
the launch of the Z450, China’s first articulated wheel loader. Developed under
tight timelines and limited resources, the Z450 introduced advanced
technologies including an articulated frame and hydraulic-mechanical
transmission. It laid the technical foundation for the widely adopted ZL50
series and marked China’s transition from imitation to independent capability
in loader manufacturing.
Three decades later, LIUGONG once again
pushed boundaries with the ZL50G high-altitude loader. Designed for extreme
conditions such as the Qinghai–Tibet Railway project, the machine overcame challenges like low oxygen, extreme cold,
and power loss at high elevations. Recognized as a global first, it established
a new category of high-altitude construction equipment and secured LIUGONG’s
leadership in specialized applications.
In the 2010s, the introduction of the H
Series signaled a shift to systematic, forward-looking R&D. By implementing
a structured product development process and extensive testing protocols, LIUGONG
significantly enhanced product reliability, efficiency, and operator
comfort—setting new industry benchmarks.
More recently, LIUGONG has accelerated its
transition toward electrification and intelligent machinery. Since 2019, the
company has launched electric loaders and 5G-enabled remote-controlled equipment,
reducing operating costs while improving safety and sustainability. Its latest
T Series integrates AI-driven functions such as intelligent loading, predictive
diagnostics, and autonomous operation, representing a leap from mechanical
equipment to smart construction solutions.

support infrastructure development worldwide.
